Seven generation types. One platform.

Motivia is a multi-modal generative media platform we built and now run in production, with paying subscribers.

Image, image editing with references, text-to-video, image-to-video, multi-reference video, music and voice — plus an editor that composes results into finished videos server-side.

The part that took the longest wasn't generation. It was everything around it: jobs queued to a worker and retried on transient GPU failures, FFmpeg filter graphs handling multi-track audio and overlays, billing and credits that make the economics work, and monitoring that tells us before a user does.

One finding worth keeping: every scene in a single video has to lock to the same GPU model. Different hardware produces subtly different output — invisible in one image, visible as flicker across six cut scenes.
